Our Commercial H.E.A.T. Package provides a Complete Energy & Performance Audit in three steps:

First: “Walk & Talk Inspection”

A visual inspection of:
- Insulation –including the attic and walls,
- Windows,
- Heating & cooling equipment and
- Areas of high electricity consumption (i.e. AC, refrigerators/ freezers and high usage lights),
A conversation with a representative of the building about:
- Utility bills,
- Energy usage patterns and
- Areas of discomfort.
We will then talk with the building representative about the next steps of recommended testing to more completely understand the problems in the building along with a ballpark cost for these services and a promise that Lightly Treading will send a firm quote for the specialized performance testing.
This first portion of the service will be limited to 2 hours on-site with 1 hour to draft a short e-mail of problems and recommend solutions. The cost is $350. However, 50% of the cost will be refunded if you choose to have Lightly Treading conduct more detailed testing and inspections of the building.

This testing is specialized to suit the needs of each individual customer, and individual details will be described in the formal quote. Testing will include a combination of some or all of the following services focused on the particular building issues:
- Energy-Star benchmarking,
- Blower door,
- IR camera,
- Combustion appliance-zone (CAZ) safety testing,
- Combustion analysis,
- Duct diagnostics- leakage analysis,
- Flow/pressure measurements,
- Electric auditing
- Computer modeling
This portion of the service will include a detailed report of findings and improvement recommendations. The cost will be in the $500 to $3000 range depending on the necessary services and reporting.

Lightly Treading will invite companies to attend who can make the improvements, including: insulation, window, window film, HVAC and air-balancing company’s, etc.
The building owner may ask questions and make their decisions as to which improvements are going to be made.
An additional benefit for this part of the service is that it will cost the building owner nothing. Instead, we will receive referral fees from the companies who we introduced to the building owner and who are hired to make the improvements.
