We look for key problem areas then provide you a report that acts as a prescription for improvement of the overall health of your home. Testing includes:

A Blower door test to find areas of air leakage
Visual and probing based inspections of insulation levels throughout the home
Inspection of the window and door quality for overall insulation and air-sealing value
Basic inspection of your heating and cooling systems

Upon completion of the audit you will be provided a “Homeowner’s Guide to Energy Efficiency” which includes:

A list of the areas where you should make improvements in your home;
Background information based on building science that we have learned through our 10+ years of experience as Energy Raters and also from the EPA’s Energy-Star and Department of Energy’s Building America programs;
A list of Contractors to make the improvements to your home
Information on other services we provide – including Post-Improvement inspections to verify you’ve received the best improvements possible and Construction Management & General Contracting services to give you a “one-stop-shop” opportunity to make the improvements as easy as possible for you and your family.
